PartFerret becomes an app, and searches eBay too

· 1 min read

PartFerret installs on the home screen, reads eBay listings directly, and turns any search into a page you can share.

PartFerret's biggest update since launch adds three things.

An app on your home screen

PartFerret can now be installed to your phone's home screen like any other app. Push notifications tell you when a long search has finished, so you don't need to keep it open.

eBay, read directly

Listings now come straight from eBay's own API, alongside the rest of the UK used-parts market. That means more donors, with fresher prices and availability.

Hunts you can share

Any search can be shared as a public page. It shows the exact part, the donor cars that fit and where to buy, so a mechanic can send a customer the options, or a buyer can ask a friend before they spend.

Searches also keep uncertain listings now, flagged as such, rather than dropping them. A possible match is worth a phone call.

PartFerret now also carries the Fixaroo name: PartFerret by Fixaroo.
